Si - I thought the phone line was there so that the box could send information to sky as the dish can only recieve (not transmit) any data. So i would have thought disconnecting the line would prevent the box sending back any data.

Drew - I think the reason for that is because when the box gets an engaged line it stores the information then tries to call out again later.

Thought you could, and the only reason people dont is cos they wont work in another box....... appart from when they had a full limit.

Never tried it though and probably wont work with the new cards.

before all these digital box n stuff, with the 'old' sky boxes, u could copy cards.
my dads solicitor used to give us a card every so often.
