ilink is basically a firewire connection between 2 or more PS2s. Basically if you have 2 ps2s & 2 tellys you can connect them via the mini firewire port on the front of the PS2, and play 2 player full screen. It does not work over t'internet, unless someone works out how to intercept and send the data over the net quickly enough.
IIRC some new PS2s don't have ilink capability,
