i have recently bought an almera 1.5 16v. according to parkers its 90bhp, 0-60 time of 13.8.

i did a 0-60 today on a slight uphill and got 11.5.

did it again on a flat and i got 9.2 !

I have raced my dads Almera 1.5 16v in my Corsa C 1.4 SRi and I left it standing. My old Punto 60s was only a fraction slower. 13.8 to 60 is about right.

depends on the driver tho doesnt it

i'll have another go 2moro or whatever and get bak 2 this thread.

and also, for £20 petrol i got about 195miles. doesnt this work out 2 b more than 42.8 mpg which is what it says on parkers ?

not really?

lets say you put in petrol that costs say 82p a litre ... you get 24.3 litres with that £20

a gallon is 5 litres... so you get 4.87 gallons for the £20

it does 42.8 miles per gallon...

= 208 miles...

This is just approx coz you may of got more petrol for your money and it depends how its driven on how much is used...

but not much difference from your 195 miles is it?

depends how you drive - if your constantly driving it between 3.5-5.5k RPM trying to find out your 0-60's on your mobile phones and such you will use more fuel than cruising around at 2300 RPM all the time in 5th.

i did it again today. was a shit run coz wheelspun for long time and didnt change gear quick enuff and at right time, but i got 11.2 ! thats still a lot quicker than 13.8, what it says in parkers.

i can try 0-60's all day and i'll get better than 13.8 deffo.

parkers is bullshit

I got my mate to time me today counting on his fingers and by judging the speed the scenery was wizzing past and we worked out my Sxi does 0-60 in 4 seconds!

Parkers stats must be completely wrong.

We then worked out my 1/4 mile time was about 2 seconds, coz my mate said his road was about a 1/4 mile from the newsagents next door and I wanted some sweeties.

who said the timing was done with fingers? it was his toes
