im not too sure what it is and sometimes its worse than others.

the oil level has not changed so its not burning oil, the coolent is still the same, there isnt mayo stuff under the oil filler cap,

there are no other symptoms, no overheating, no performance loss etc...

sometimes it only does it a little others it can be **** loads, like it makes everyone look its that bad.

stuck some injector cleaner in but made no difference.

could a blocked breather pipe do it?

all the time, even at idle its bad.

turbo burning oil? how much its beer driven? is it bad when engine is cold? or when its hot?

sounds like it could be leaking turbo oil seals?

not the turbo cos it does it when at idle. it does it from cold and when hot, its very confusing. ive always looked after the engine, its done 142,000 but these engines are supposed too do 400 k before things start going wrong. i very rarly rag my car, drive sensibly most of the time. good excuse to go for a 1.7 now

think ive found the problem, my breather pipe was squashed so nothing was going through it.

does it consume lot of diesel? if there is something wrong with injecting it wrong time or so? too much boost?

not using anymore fuel and i just drove 130 miles and it used same as normal, bout 1/4 tank. im gonna get a new breather pipe tomorrow, hopefully that will sort it.

considering oil catch tank to breather?

i cant, the breather pipe on the td goes back into the inlet as the oil fumes stop the turbo veins rusting
