Ok guys, im lookin out 4 ma 1st car. Ideally it would be a 1.2SXI 16V and i have just under £2000 to spend. Should i go for a car that has been previously modded or buy a car for say £1000 and use the rest of the cash to mod it myself?
Any advice would be apreciated.

Buy the newest or lowest mileage car you can afford and then save up to mod it later.

You aint getting a 1.2 SXi for £1000 mate, and then you would be looking at around £1700-£1800 to insure.
Cheapest SXi on autotrader is £2,800.
For £1000 you would get an older L plate 1.2 8V or such.

i got an R plate 1.2 8v for 1700 and that was after serious haggling.
no chance youll get one for 2 grand
