htm (hypertext markup language) is exactly the same as html, htm was only used in the past as they had to adhere to a 3 letter extention. and sethion33 a .jpg is an image file.

well you can hardly save an entire web page as a .jpg if you expect people to be able to use it can u?

a .jpg is a compressed image file, .htm/.html is a language

HTML isn't a programming language per se, but a markup language.
