Might be able to get them to pay, but they'll probably claim it's parked at your own risk.

If you've got the face place you might be able to claim off the insurance.

tbh, there's no point having a new headunit - stick to std.

They'll steal it if you leave the faceplate on, they'll steal it if you take it off... just don't have one to steal at all!!

Work won't pay, it's nothing to do with them at the end of the day.

You say all doors were unlocked - assuming you have central locking on your Corsa, did you not put the deadlock on?

I ain't that annoyed or pissed off to be honest! I sorta had a feeling it might happen as Rob only warned me 2 days ago that it's the most popular petty crime in Hull at the moment

Joff - I want my scrolling green text back

Don't think I'll go through Insurance tbh, the window I can buy second hand and the headunit cost me £90 inc a CD changer (which they never got) and only the radio worked on the headunit anyway, the tape deck was fecked!

Sam I do not have central locking! I got the description of a van with 3 young kids who quickly got in there car and drove off as I walked over to my car.

All the doors were locked and I walked over I saw they were unlocked and said to a colleague "my doors are unlocked, I bet someone nicked my head unit" and they had!

Leanne, thanks but I'm at home now waiting for the police!

I was parked at Scrapstore in (ahem) Woodcock Street

Arh well, like I said, I'm not fazed, these things happen! Just might sell the car quicker now then planned!

Mine got broken into when it was sitting in missus' works car park..'Parked at own risk'.

Wife had LEFT the faceplate on though..Car was alarmed deadlocked etc..Smashed the window and climbed in as couldn't get doors open due to deadlocks..

Wee fooker got caught though and got community service...Wish i had caught him...

Crap leni to go out and see window etc all smashed and think o feck..

I had to go through insurance as he bent door slightly when smashing window and glass chipped all the paintwork....

only thing to do to the little pikey thieving skum is to drag em round back of a building and stamp on there hands then a nice word of warning if u c them again!

police do feck all, blame it on " too much paperwork" bastards , if they cant do the job right why did they go 4 it

When I had my old car broken into (going back a few years now), the police actually came out, but said they don't take fingerprints on car-theft (only on house-burglaries). They caught the handler (not the thieves), who got a nice 10 years for various crimes.

Plus, one of my mates had her car nicked from outside her house, driven about half a mile, rammed into a kerb and left, and the police wanted £250 from her to tow it to a "special" scrapyard to take fingerprints......she couldn't afford to pay the police to do what they should do for free, so they left it there (I think).

I actually work with "pikeys" and none of them would ever touch my car!

Police came out and got a few finger prints, got a very clear one from my CD changer that is too big to be mine and looks like it could of only have been done from a right hand leaning through the passenger window (angel of the print and stuff)

Got to ring back in 10 days to see if they've found anything but he said they have allot of peoples finger prints from the area were it happend so it's looking good!

Not gone through insurance and work won't pay, got a 2nd hand window for £25 last night and fitted it! Just need a cheap stereo now!

Due to the fact I have had plenty of arguments with them and the they've had the chance and never took it!! So aye, I'm pretty confident that if you show someone respect then ther'll respect you back!
