Almost wrote off my new bike, TWO dayz after getting it

Bought a nw bikefrom Halfords, rode it about for five minutes and got a snake-bike in my rear inner tube
Took it back an they repaired it free of charge

Went out the day after and was zoomin down a hill in pitch black, dodged out of the way of a dog and thought, ahh, clear run down the hill andstarted peddeling faster, only to be confronted by a dog shit bin I didn't even have time to swerve out of the way hit it head on and went straight over the handlebars, did a superman over the shit bin landed on my belly and rolled onto my side, checked mybike out today and I've fucked the forks up

Apart from that, I only got a minor scratch on my hand

hehe I got so many injuries when I was younger from riding (cough racing) my bike hehe...

broke several bones including breaking my middle finger once, then breaking it again and fracturing it into 3 bits needing a operation where 4 pins were put through it and I had to have major physio therapy on it to get it working again...

and Many other scars / cuts etc...

Ah those were the days

yes... I always pedalled standing up, I remember once racing this guy and slipping off a pedal... I fell straight down forward onto the frame that goes from the seat to the front, then as I now had no control over the bike it hit a tree and I ended up smacking em proper hard against the handle bars - and falling off the bike and onto the floor in agony!

That was fucking painful.

thats happened to me too m8

not exactly but, foot slipped, crotch smacked the frame and fell over

and a few times my trousers got stuck in the chain thing wher u pedal, and i was goin uphill, and i tried puttin my foot down to stop myself, but couldnt coz of my trousers, so i fell sideways

oh the joys of biking

hehe I've got my laces caught up in my chain before... the more you pedal the more it winds it in oops

Also slipped off a single pedal before where the foot has fallen down onto the ground and got whipped back (coz the ground is moving fast beneathe you) - but kept my other foot on thank god...

Basically one of the things we used to do was all the local kids would race down this long hill thats on our road.

The thing is the speeds we were achieving were seriously dangerous / unstable!

in 18th gear you would end up not being able to pedal any faster ... (it'd just go round really fast and feel v.unstable - because you were already going v.fast) - and there were plenty of bumps and all sorts in the road...

So when something went wrong... It really went wrong It's weird how its always your elbows, knees, hands and (sometimes torso oops ) that take the most of the falls... rather than getting cuts all down the arm I always ended up with em on the joints...

Doing a paper round in winter was always a laugh, so icey - I'd accelerate out of someone's drive turning (lent over) and the bike would just slip away making me smack my head on the floor...

Never wore a helmet - I had one thanks to my parents insisting I had one, but A) it made my head too hot and sweaty, B) it fucked up your hair and C) you looked a Twat...

Hmm, makes me wanna go ride my bike now... I too haven't really touched it since I passed my driving test, I found out my parents were trying to sell it the other week without asking me - bastards!

Yesterday, I went up to some tabletop jumps by me and was zoomin up to this jump really fast, when I got about 4 foot away from the jump my right foot slipped off the pedal, but I carried on going cuz I had no wayof stopping, went up the jump and the bike was almost literaly at a 45 degree andle and my right foot was in the air trying to counter-balance myself, I actually landed it as well

Was well chuffed with myself, mymate said I looked like a proffesional

My bike is a Saracen Xile

my friend dropped off a shed on his bike and landed with his nuts on the crossbar...needless to say he was in extreme agony and the blood pouring from his split ball bag was not nice!
