Those harnesses/straps come in handy with the way i drive mate Plus i only got it fitted yesterday, it aint staying like that.

I've got a piece of MDF under the boot carpet and that lifts right out.

Its brilliant, JL stuff looks great and sounds great. I wanted to get the 250/1 amp but that was almost twice the price of the e1200. It seems to do the job fine

i originally used velcro to stick my box to the back of the seats, the amp was small enuff to mount on the side of the box. however the way i had it laid out the amp was getting very hot as it was stuck between the box and the side of the boot. i now made myself a lame ass install which is just as shit but atleast the amp dont get hot!

to get at the spoare wheel i have to disconnect the wires from the amp and check the board with the amp on and the sub box in the back

annoying but its the price u pay

Velcro is an idea, but this sub and box is very heavy, plus i think the straps r humouros

On the drive home yesterday which was about 1 hour i checked the amp and it wasnt that hot, just pretty warm. I shouldn't see myself having any problems. My spare wheel is useless anyway, its a 14" steelie and i have 16" alloys.

i didnt really say it right before.

i made a kind of false floor for me boot except it didnt stretch all the way down cos im a cheap bastard and used an old parcel shelf i made for my fiesta. i cut out a square in the top right for the box and mounted the amp over a hole left by the 6x9 for maximum heat transfer!

i have a pic but i cant upload fopr some reason today shitty ntl

Enough IMO, use a well matched amp, maybe the JL 250/1 and you'll be fine. Its still bediing in so i havent had it up to its full potential yet.
