in relation to subs?
is it something to do with the volume of the box? because the measurement is given in litres.

Vas - the equivalent volume of compliance, which specifies a volume of air having the same compliance as the suspension system of a driver.

Yeh basically the volume of the box matching the sub.

so if the enclosure was greater than the VAS rating of the sub then the sub would act more like a free air sub and have reduced power handling >>
that's what i understand from what i've read..
