im thinking of getting the JL audio 10" w3 series sub, but do i get it dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm?

what amps shall i get for it?
shall i get mono amp just to run the sub
or shall i get 4 channel, run pair of 6x9 with 2 channels, then bridge other 2 for the sub?

best off getting a mono amp to run the sub, cleaner signal and more efficient, and more power.

Its up to you whether you want to get dual 4 or dual 2 ohm, it just helps with choice of amplifier or configuration.

You want a mono amp that matches the subs RMS value at 2 ohms or 1 ohm.

the JLE1200 is 1 x 200w RMS, hence the 1x200name!
The W3V2's are 2 voice coil subs, so u wud need the 10W3V2 - D4 to show the amp a 2 ohm load when wired.

The 10W3V2 - D2 wud show eiter a 4 ohm or 1 ohm load.

adi...u told me to buy the dual 4 ohm and wire in series to get the sub running at 2 ohms. but
by looking at this owners manual, it states that if u wire a D4 in seires u get it to run at "8 ohms"
if u wire a D4 in paralell then it runs at "2 ohms"

take a look and get back to me
