300zx's are - they're cheap 2nd hand, they have quite abit of power and don't look that bad - some 'old style skylines' and stuff look a bit dated - the 300zx is still quite nice.

The MR2 Turbo uses fuel like it won't be around tomorrow and it needs super or optimax. You don't even need to give it any stick and it munches through so much petrol!!! I doubt the bloody thing has ever been far above 20mpg, if you give it some stick I reckon it will go into single figures no probs.
On the other hand my mates UK MR2 was an Eco-Warrior, 40mpg easily.

I drive fom stevenage to royston for work, then maybe round a friends house in the evening nothing major. That uses about 1/4 of a tank a day. I'm sure I could use more if I wanted!! It costs between 50 and 60 quid a week. To be fair though I don't hang around.
The turbo is a completely different animal to the n/a though, it may look the same but the performance is so much higher, I wouldn't own an n/a MR2, its not fast enough. If I'm gonna get called a hairdresser I may aswell be able to go fast!!

fair enough turbo it is then. Was looking at 300zx but insurance cost made my decision for me:
£1400 fc for MR2 turbo
£2000 fc for 300zx
