i got an alpine head unit cdm-9807RB, its 4x60 watt, anyway it says the p[ower cable should be conected directly to the battry but i never i just put it in the power slot were the other one came from, and after a while of playing the music at high volume it goes shit and all distorted. think i need to earth it propley to and conect it to the battry.

also how do i get it to save the radio stations and stuff, becuase it dont every time i take the key out. and i've tryed swapping the yeallo and red wires round but still dont work. and does any1 know how to get the bit on on the dash were the time is and that because that goes off to

make sure its earth correctly, and try and seperate the power supply wires and the speaker cables. If that doesnt work then make sure you have the right settings on your HU.
