Use new copper washers. Check the seals for wear.

Thanks Miles.
Any advice on the dot 4 to dot 5.1 idea? worth it?
Can you just pour new brake fluid into the resevoir?
I plan to cap it with polythene then put the cap back onto seal it, but i think when i take the old hoses off, losing some fluid will be unavoidable.
Will bleeding the system once be ok?
thanks for the help

Do Wilwood callipers have dust seals?

yes they do - The new Midilite range is fully dust sealed. Lightweight 4-pots, discs and braided hoses for £400 + vat. Good pedal feel and stonking performance. My mate here (who's an Audi/VW mechanic) bought some hi spec discs which cracked after a few 100 miles. He thought they were utter sh1te.
