Hey what would you say is a fairly decent RMS output for a pair of rear 6x9". The ones i have at the moment are 300W peak and 100W RMS but i only have a 4x45W Head Unit.

100rms is good. you just need to get an amp that does 100rms as the speakers are under powered at the moment.
Once in, it will sound soooo much better

Hey thanx Yeh i was thinking of getting an amp to get the most out of them. Would it be possible to connect my front speakers and my rear 6x9" all through an AMP as the new front speakers im getting are also higher than the Head Unit RMS output, if so what spec of AMP should I be looking for?

A 4 channel amp where each channel matches the spec of the speaker.

If i decided to get 45W RMS front speakers which would run fine off my Head Unit how much would it cost to get a 2-channel 100W RMS AMP to run my 6x9"s? Which make would you recommend?

No your headunit only puts out about 22wRMS per channel. A two channel amp at 100RMS would cost no more than £130

plenty of amps about, all depends on ya preference. looking at about 80-150 for a good one i rekon.

you headunit is most likely only 40w max. in reality only a few rms. so you would still be underpowering the new front speakers you get.

you best off getting a 4channel amp like austin has said.
