Write the time has come for me to buy a proper DVD player as I've just sold the PS2 but I'm not sure what to get to many to choose from.
Ideally I would like a Sony one that plays absolutely everything and would go with the TV and video I got not so long ago but it's not essential.
Any good recommendations?

i got a jvc xv-s302, playes dvd svcd vcd and cds well good quality aswell! fast to load all dvds, and its multi regional! look cool too!

ive got a cambridge audio and its a BEAST !!  Its fully made in silver alu and its the best thing since sliced bread, it plays everything i chuck at it and its extremely silent - unlike some players i have seen. Got it from Richer Sounds about a year ago, but it cost my old man about 350 quid. Might be cheaper now, thats if you can still get it...eitherway well worth the money.
What every you do, dont get a cheapy unbrand jobby thats cost like 20 quid. And make sure it has a years or more warranty on it

i got a liteon photomaster 2001
plays cd cdr cdrw mp3 cds, cds with photos on it, svcd, kvcd, xvcd, dvd dvdr dvdrw dvd- dvd +, cds with movie files burnt to it (most but not wm files) can get latest firmware from the site burn to cd to update the software on the player.
has a slot to put ur digital camera sticks/cards to view ur pics/vids
all for £150

You dont need a Macintosh in order to use an iPod, they come with Windows software aswell

i gotnthe one smiths had for £50.
Its much smaller and looks much better then the asda one.
i reckon it would play a donut if i jammed it in (theres a hiden pun in there 2!)

I got mine from asda. £35 plays all the different media but just region 2 but that don;t bother me
