Played for 7 years. Got to County level, played county for 5 years and had South East England trials.

Used to know loads of people who have made it big now, best one to date is Andy Titteral who plays hooker for england/england A.

Met most the england team, trained with them, been on tours all over the place etc. Still got my two Kent rugby ties we used to wear at school And all my old Kent shirts, club shirts etc.

Played and beaten the good sides (WEll they were at the time). Should have played at twickenham before an internation but we lost 7-5 in the semi finals

Been to the "Fortress" a fair few times too. Wanna get back into playing again, but just got no time, would like to start playing it for fun again in a couple for years though.

League is a more physically demanding game.

The highest tackle count in the union world cup was Colin Charvis(spelling?) of Wales with about 70 in the entire tournament.
Also, in the England v SA game, England made a total of 40 tackles.

In the recent GB v Aus Ashes tests, in one game Australia's loose forward Luke Ricketson made 40 tackles and the entire team made somewhere in the region of 250. 200+ tackles per side is the average for a game of League, hence why it is a more physically demanding game.

Ex League players now in Union will back this up aswell, Gareth Raynor spent the best part of last year trying to regain his fitness after returning from Union because he couldn't keep up.

This is not a League is better than Union arguement, they get very boring and are usually a matter of personal opinion, I've only stated facts to prove a point.
