Right I installed XP Pro and it didnt work so! Ive been looking round on my comp downstairs. And I found a WINDOWS folder on my hard disk, and its got all the files you use to install XP. If I burnt all these files in the WINDOWS folder to disc would XP instal on my other computer? What should I burn the files as. I though I had to burn it as a Bootable disc, but I'm, not sure.

Nope, it doesn't work because the folder Windows you need to start it and not to install it.
Also, if it should work, your windows will not funtion good because the 2 computers are verry different of each other and probably have another chipset and drivers.
If you are sure that the 2 computers are identically, you can GHOST the whole disk and copy it to the other PC.
The easiest way is to get an installation disk of windows XP install the other computer.

How come the installation didnt work?
You'll find that just copying the files from the WINDOWS directory wont work. You'll need a setup program (which is what your using with the XP disc), coz it will need to write registry values to your computer too in order for it to work.

When your computer starts, he says (when the CD is in), press a key to start from cd(then you press any key.
It is possible that windows won't install because there is an earlier version on the hard drive, so best to do is format the drive (loss of data, better backup first)
It is also possible that your boot order isn't right, so you'll have to change the boot order in your bios.
Normally, this should help

sounds like some people need windows XP corporate edition with integrated SP1.

XP install even with an older version on is easy. Just boot the computer from the CD then follow the instructions and format the C drive. Easy.
