You need to click on folders and remove all sent recieved and empty trash this will clear some room

All fixed. Was a slight problem in one of the quota files which wasn't returning the quota in the correct format...

It was more the fact that the latest version of the mail software no longer accepts 'K' or 'M' at the end of the string and wanted a full value When I read the ChangeLog I discovered this

You know what they say -- assumption being the mother of all fuck ups...
