Hi Guys

As you probably saw in my other thread I travelled the West Coast for 3 weeks doing the following route

It was awesome is everyway if not a knackering at times - Compared to Route 66 I would say in some ways it was better as there was more to see but you got a better feel of different sides of the US on Route66

Thanks for the comments yeah its a nikon D7000.

Cost of flights hotels and car hire was about 5.5k. My credit card bill has just come through which is around 5k but that includes fuel, food also

Trips included;

private tour of San Fran as we only had 3 days there
Alacatraz
Wine Tours
trip up the Lake Tahoe mountains
Boat trip across the lake
supercar day
watched Jersey boys in Vegas
Upgraded our room in Vegas
Helicopter trip over the canyon
Sea World in San Diego
etc

Could have eaten cheaper and stayed in slightly less expensive places

Excellent, looks like a good trip (so far).

We considered the same for 2014 but looks like we're off back to Florida for three weeks, with one of those weeks down at Key West.

The mileage required for the West Coast thing puts me off slightly, but looking at these pics makes it seem worthwhile!

Yeah I appreciate that completely. I'm a bit weird though, I'd be scared of finding a place I REALLY liked and not wanting to leave... then having arse on for the rest of the trip because we peaked on day 2

haha - research is the key when planning

After Vegas the holiday got more relaxing until San Diego as the bulk of the main places to visit started at the beginning

San Diego was an awesome place though - Could have done with a few more days there

when you were on hoover damn did you drink from the waterfountain in the middle and squirt water over the edge, the wind makes it turn to bubbles and go right up in the air

My friends and I are planning going to Vegas for our joint 21st's. I can't wait! Probably be an expensive celebration.
