A nice double whammy for me this past week last weekend I was up at Shakespeare County raceway for the 2010 Nostalgia Nationals which was a drag race compition for pre '71 cars and a great day.
Then today I was at the first ever UK Roadster Nationals at Twinwood Airfield in Clapham Beds
Someone in a topic about UK custom cars a few days ago said that the UK scene wasn't that big but I'm sure these pics will proove that to be horseshite

Nostalgia pics first:

Vauxhall Chevette(?) funny car:

PowerTorque.co.uk's 2.0 Duratec engine, good for 200bhp:

Got wood?

Impala

Turbo bike

Awesome tow truck

Now pics from today's event at the Roadster Nationals. This was the first show of its kind at the location and was really well put together around the war musuem with old style diner vans and a mess hall we even saw a Mustang and a Hurricane fly over.

Birdcatcher

Fake Snake

Start 'em young!

Hello

Ford Skyliner. Very few of these cars are left.

Thirsty?

BMW that was obviously lost...

This put a lot of people's noses out when it showed up. The driver just parked up and pissed off leaving us all saying "what the hell?" "Why?" "Looks shit" "Its a Morris..." to eachother. Credit where its due though, if you ignore the ratty look its actually very well put together undernear. Exceptional welding to the huge rollcage inside, butterfly joints on most underside links, 9" Strange rear axle... the setup was great but the body was just shite.

These are the wheels my dad is going to have on his pickup Obviously with smaller tires though.

Thanks for looking
