Well ive been on here a while and havent really posted alot so here it goes.
well today i blew the fuck outta my 1.2 8v engine they are bullet proof but not when i get a hold of them lol . the plan was to convert to a 1.4 16v sport engine and turbo it but then i decided to go for something a bit different. The donor car is a rover coupe tomcat and the engine is the 1.6 16v honda engine plans for it are going to be to do a mini me conversion on the engine. Pics and progress to follow if this is the wrong section also can the admin team move it to the correct one cheers.

I respect the balls to give it a bash mate, but if you're going to get a Honda engine, you need a B series one. You can pick up a B16a/a1/a2 ready to go for a few hundred quid. Even a B18c4 so you'd have 170bhp from the box!

well when your getting everything thats needed for 140 quid i think why not will be something different and makes a change from 45bhp lol its 115bhp now but with the right work it can be fast and the guy thats giving me a hand is a rover / honda head so he knows wat hes doing he drives a rover 214 si with a 2ltr turbo which is pushing 260bhp on its current setup.

Why? you could have got a fitted a x16xe for £140 which would have been so much easier.

A B18c4 isn't much quicker than a B16a2 so you'll have to spend a good bit more than a B16 to get a B18c6/B18c Does have more torque though!

You can pick up a B16a1 with everything needed for not much more than you're getting that Rover/Honda engine mate

well good progress was made the day 2 engines out and all the wiring out of the corsa and the rover. I could have fitted a x16xe yes but to be honest i thought i why not try something else that no one has. It will be hard work but its going to be sweet with a full custom exhaust with 4 branch it going to keep people thinkin wtf cause its going to have that honda rasp but the looks of a corsa b.Hardest part will be the drive shafts which are going to be 1 off's and will take a day in the laith to get them made up.

well as ive said progress pictures so here they are and supprisingly enough theirs wasnt any cutting need to get the engine fitted so now things to do are make up a few mounts and get the wireing loom to mate up into the vauxhaul stuff.

at the min the engine is only sitting their but should be mounted and brackets all made up in the morning.

That one is worn out, although you might be able to have it re-calibrated to save a few quid.
