buy one, remove all the companats off your boot panel, check the fitment, pull up the rear window rubber trim, bond it on, filler/fibreglass round the edges, smooth it, bit more filler, smooth it, rub down the panel, get it sprayed, fit a soleniod to the rear wiper wiring loom.
Done

as per my instructions, buy a soleniod and fit it to your rear wiper loom, fairly simple honest it's the easiest bit

small mechaism, not really sure how to describe it, same thing that pushes your door pins up and down when you unlock you doors
Cost about £7 upwards, depends where you buy them

nope, doesn't matter.. if you attached the solenoid to the rear wiper motor when you flick the rear wiper stalk on it will release the boot catch

Personally I wouldnt wire it to your rear wiper, if you catch it your boot will pop.
Would just fit a push to make switch and hide it somewhere so you flick it and voila.

I agree!
I have given the easiest option, bear in mind however the rear wiper version only pops the oot release for around 5 seconds, within this time you need to open your boot, i.e when your driving it's unlikely to open. Also means to open it when parked u need to have your engine on and you need to turn the wiper on and leave it on whilst you wait for it to pop the second time.
