I was selling my car (Supra TT in Silver) a couple of weeks ago and found a
buyer.

The car was paid for with what turns out now as a fraudulent Bankers Draft.
The insurance does not cover theft by deception so I am now £12,700 out of
pocket, money I was using to buy my first house!

If anybody sees the car or hears anything please contact the police ASAP.

I have seen this person face to face and that is what has sickened me the
most. Asian Man approx 26 years old, name given was Rizwaam Ahmed based in
the London Area, had short ish cropped hair about 5'10" medium build, smoked
and was wearing a long Black leather jacket, very polite and arrived to see
the car in a BMW 318 Convertible.

The bankers draft was a Halifax draft from the stanmore branch.

It was a 1994 Import Auto Silver Twin Turbo with reg L150 NNK
18" Volks Racing Challenger wheels
Blackened Windows
Blue Cam and pulley cover
Bomex Type 2 front lip
Blue Neons
UK brake upgrade
Blitz Boost controller
HKS BOV
Solid Rad pipe
MOMO Race steering wheel
Kenwood Head unit, auto changer and JL Audio Speakers
Digital rev counter
Dragger replica big bore exhaust with straight through cat replacement pipes
Approx 45K miles reads as 60 Plus on the digital read out as converted from
KM to MPH
Loads of paper work.

If you spot it or hear anything please contact the police asap.

Has just been on Rev Bob at Well Lane

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY I SPOTTED THIS CAR!!!, OR A DEAD RINGER FOR THIS CAR DOWN THIS WAY ON FRIDAY LAST WEEK!!! I DONT REMEMBER THE PLATE, BUT I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER IT BEING PARKED ON THE CENTRAL RESERVATION THING ON STATION ROAD, EDGWARE (5 mins away from stanmore etc)

MAYBE SOME PICS WOULD BE GOOD SO I CAN CONFIRM, COZ IT MIGHT BE POSSIBLE I SEE IT AGAIN AND GET POSSIBLY CONTACT POLICE.

But they'll do sod all anyway.

But surely, when selling a car for this sort of money.....

a) you ensure all moneys have FULLY transferred, before allowing anyone to take the car

b) you get reciepts made up, and ask for proof of ID from the buyer

well thats wot i did, and my car cost a 1/3 of that!!

Problem you have is the fact that Bankers draft are suppost to be as good as cash.

The only thing you could do is ring the branch that arranged it and get them to confirm that it is legit before you hand over the keys

and so you shouldn't every car i have ever sold has stayed in my drive untill funds are in my account.if you are taking large amounts on a bankers draft just phone the local branch and confirm the draft is real.that's just common sense and only takes a minute
