Mate, drop this and get playing some decent games - CS, unreal, MOA etc etc

WTF would you know? I have completed some of my PPL already, and FS has helped me along the way. I find it enjoyable, as do many many others. I play medal of honor and half life all the time, but i also play this a lot. Many insitituions around the world now use Microsoft's flight sim series as basic simulators. They are extremely realistic now, and i know that the RAF have used FS from time to time with trainee pilots. Before you open your mouth next time, please read up on the subject.

if i was to ever be in a situation on board an aircraft where someone would need to land, im sure i would be up to the job. It would only be a matter of setting the autopilot to adjust trim according to speed and flight level. Until lined up on ILS approach at the designated landing site, the autopilot will fly the plane. Regarding the landing, it would be a case of just checking airspeed, flaps, gear, spoilerons, autobrake, auto spoilers were all activated and in right position, then its just setting autopilot to around 140kts for landing, making sure to flare before touchdown. Im not sure i could manage this with such a large aircraft, but a regional airliner such as a 737 or A320 would be a piece of piss.
