Jus fitted a set to my corsa but the pedal goes down a long way efter i have bled them up.
Has anyone changed the master piston??
If so whats it off? which car? i have a GTE which im breaking as was thinking of fitting it from that.
Can ne1 help

do you have braided lines? i have the v6 setup with braided lines and its not spongy at all

fit some briaded hoses, that helps a lot.

No i aint got any as yet but my dad mentioned doing that but what about the pedal going right down?? i know vauxhalls do but not this much lol that all you have done? Do you have rear discs too because im fitting a set soon too

no not got rear discs, the braided lines shud stop the pedal going all the way down, they are bled properly i take it?

Yeah bled them up fully but obviously go down a hell of a lot more than standard as the calipers are bigger and that.
How much we looking at for a set of braided hoses without me checking it up? lol

u really should do some research mate
ive got v6 brakes with braided hose lines and dot 5.1 fluid (irrevelent tho)
due to the v6 caliper being too big for the corsa master cylinder u will allways get an element of pedel travel, braided hose lines helps this alot
and as far as im aware of theres no upgrade or repalacement master cyliner that will fit the corsa, so the gte 1 is out of the question

braided hose lines are around £40 i think, maybe alittle bit more, £45

£40 for the lines, that a full set for front and rear. no point in using dot 5.1 fluid as it absorbs water alot quicker than normal fluid and ull need to change it more often, also dot 4 wont boil or anything so its a waste of time unless u use the track alot, like all the time

Ah right mate cheers for tht but when i bought the brakes off Vaux-md there was a letter stating that the pedal travel would be further so changing the master piston would help this a lot.

Nah it aint for track use, got 19's you see so my brakes wouldnt stop me at all  and i mean hardly stopped lol so i got these to be better and to fill the air behind the wheels

u could change it urself if u wanted, but its not worth the hasle, prob a lot of work involved! mine is fine, stops when and where uwant it too, what discs and pads did u get

308mm discs n calipers to fit not sure wot pads
Al try the hoses and see what its like

or 500 sheets for a rally spec master cylinder \

no point changing the master cyl.
just use dot4 fluid.
and get those flashy braided hoses.
shouldn't be going all the way down tho!
keep bleeding it lol

Check the calipers are on the right way. Only way to tell is that the bleed nipple should be at the top and not the bottom.

I had mine on upsdie down for like 2 years Pedal feel slightly improved. Didn't really know what i was doing a few years ago when i fitted them. Didn't really make a difference anyway

Nope, we put the 2.0 on with the new discs and pads and they worked like a treat from day 1. New disc and pad combos should really need bedding in that much.
