Just open it up a bit, a mate of mine did mine in my shed with a dremel, spent hours and hours on it. Just make sure everything equal.
I assume its the same sort of design as a petrol head. Match the inlet and exhaust to the gaskets.

yeah not a bad idea that miles, at the end of the day if i fuck it up it only cost me 20 quid.
the 1.7 has the same size valves so i cant change them as easily as i thought
so match it too the gaskets, smooth it all off etc..

so to do inlet and exhaut, u just put the gasket on and open it up to them? then put the gasket on the inlet maniofld and exhaust manifold and do the same?

Put the gasket on as it would fit, then colour in the parts that are inside the gasket holes with a marker pen, then being as smooth as you can, open it out to them. If someone can upload pics I'll email them some of my head later.

well i was in SnS and they where doing a Festa head and all the kid had was a like a Dremal with a sanding head on and he was polishing and smoothing everthing off, like u would a rocker cover 1500's and soapy water.
porting u need to know where u can add the extra ports, would need to find out
why its called port and polish

they do them all to a certain extent, but due to tolorences in the casts and such they cant be perfect, also the time spent doing it would bump up costs loads! this is y the supersprint manifold iv got is quite expencive as it has been matched up to a gasket, dont no it they are all done this way?
