Very easy, send them an email looking like its from Hotmail telling them you're going to delete all their email unless they visit a web address (also of course looking genuine) and type in their credentials.

You'd be surprised how stupid people are. Its been done on Hotmail, Paypal and a number of UK banks.

Hmmm... But apart from that, there are no known 'holes' in Hotmail then that people could hack into?

If you're on a broadcast network you could potentially intercept the packets....?

The quick answer is no I'm afraid. The good news is that reading email is only one third of a prosecution under the Computer Misuse Act.

i remember stealing my sisters MSN password by installing a key logger, logging off, letting her log on and go about her business, then all i had to do was go back on and see the keys she pressed. Piece of piss.

only ways in are if you know the password or if you know the answer to the secret question.

Obviously the daddy of hackers can do it but whats the point just to get into a msn account

Kerry, Sam asked about Hotmail, not CS and I didn't hack into anyone's account - I was even showing a member of Admin ffs.
