wanna be careful cos a lot of policies wont pay out accidental damage for water damage.

run over it with your car just to be sure

On my insurance documentation it says the following:

Damage
Physical breakage, destruction or failiure of your equipment due to forces external to the equipment, including without limitation, liquid damage, that prevents your equipment from operating correctly

liquid damage doesnt neccesarily mean water damage. my mate found this out when he claimed for his 7650 about a year ago. the guy on the phone told him to drop it in some other liquid so he dunked it in a bucket of anti-freeze for good measure

A friend of mine managed to loose hers in a car.

Aparently they braked (broke? ) too hard, and it shot into an air vent. Its now rattling around inside the car shell!
