Mine costs between £350-370 online, will cost slightly more in the shops
Icy - if ur on a budget that card looks quite good for the price, tho check out a few computer mags like pcadviser as they regulary test and compare the latest cards

The ASUS ATI Radeon 9600 XT/TVD graphics card is among the first in a new line of ATI-based products from the company. With its circuit board finished in a unique orange colour, it certainly stands out from the crowd.
The 9600XT chipset is a mid-range performer. In our 3GHz Pentium 4 test PC it scored a respectable 3,764 in 3DMark03 with standard settings and 1,807 with 4x anti-aliasing and anisotropy turned on to improve image quality, also at 1,024x768. This places it ahead of the nVidia GeForce FX 5600 family, but still some way behind the top-of-the-range 9800 and 5900 cards, which achieve scores starting at around 5,500 points. The 3DMark2001 SE score of 12,856 also shows a good level of performance in older DirectX 8 games.
Other 9600XT cards are available for around £20 less,
but some of these don't include the TV input features that this ASUS card has as standard. You can capture analogue video from a camcorder, display TV on your PC from an external tuner, or even carry out motion detection for security purposes on a camera input.
At just over £150, this card offers an excellent level of performance and the video input and capture facility are added bonuses. So too is the voucher for a free copy of Half-Life 2 when it comes out in the New Year.

128MB cards usualy have a quicker refresh rate, but the 256MB cards just have more power, hense the price
oviously the more money u spend the more power ull get, but at the end of the day unless ur a hardcore gamer who needs top cards, id stick with 9600XT mate, it looks like a really good card at a cheep price

well i prefer the Nvidia chipset to the radeon,
my yr old geforce 4 128mb runs faster than the 9800 128mb radeon, and the geforce was using 2x FSAA
the Radeon my dad has just got is the 256mb version For £100

The GeForce FX 5950 doesn't look to good in this comparison. It does especially bad in 4xFSAA and 8x anisotropic filtering tests.

In most of the standard tests, the FX 5700 is on par with the Radeon 9600 XT. It too tends to take a performance nosedive when 4xFSAA and 8x anisotropic filtering come into play.
