just on my way to work dismoring and i hit black ice at about 45mph, the car fishtaled for a while then span throwing the car on to the barrier of the other side smashing the front left and rear left then spining me about 5 times and throwing me back into the barrier on the driving side where the car came to a stop damage atm seems to be whole left side and also the drive shaft has snapped and gearbox is fucked. The frame on the left hand side is also all bent up and the bonnet dont open. I had just fitted the psg combat 2 wide kit and that is totally fucked. The rear drivers side alloy is now a egg shape and the passager front alloy sits at a angle like / .

Do u think this will be a right off or will they fix it?

i will upload pics asap but i am still in major shock atm, this is the last thing i needed atm.

sorry to hear that mate, but glad ur okay

it depends on the reg of the car really. if it is quite an old car sounds a right off for sure, ut if its an W or X reg im not sure.

hmm, well if it has touched the engine it will probably be a write off, is ur shell bent at all cos my corsa bent and it is like 1500quid apparently to replace so it has to be written off no matter what the reg.

if it dont look 2 bad, buy it back, u can buy it back even if it is a class a write off.

i didnt think this was true, but after ringin up vosa, they said u can put any written off car back on the road, as long as it will pass a vic check

i brought mine back 4 200 quid, and it will cost me no more than 1k 2 repair it.

they gave me 3500 quid for the car.

ive made a fair bit of money.

up 2 u mate, depends on damge tho i guess

yes my car is insured with EVERYTHING on as they came round to inspect the whole lot.. and yes its a like for like so thats gd i just spoke to them and they are sorting everything hopefully have a cortiusy car today aswell, the crash was on the a4130 between henly and wallingford and half the parts are still there at 5:50am.

it looks like minor damage but the rescue team looked at it properly and said it looks like major damage underneath, also my alloys are proper fucked (one is egg shape) other is scrathed to hell. the bodykit is no more the new combat 2 wide has been smashed to pieces and the rear is snapped and looks like the eshaust has snapped (this breaking the bumper)
