well it's bad news......

o/s and n/s track rod ends
play in both rear wheel bearings (just needing adjusted though)
low brake fluid
front brake pads
emissions through the roof.... NO CAT...but that will be sorted on the sly....

all in all 2 track rod ends, brake fluid, brake pads, adjust bearings and get it through emissions fully fitted. about £100 all in including price of mot...mintex pads too..So quite cheap fae my bro in law I think.he needs to charge for parts as not his company he's just the manager...

1 wheel bearing was fitted about 2 months ago though...so free for that..

1st time owning car that I've had a failed mot....

oh well can't win em all..............

That's fine......from memory, you have a grace-period (it's about 7 days, I think), during which time you can legally only use the car to get between your house and a place of repair where the car is officially booked in to carry out repairs necessary to bring your car up to MOT-standard.

Mine failed on emissions (twice), but passed third time......first time was with no CAT, second time was with a CAT (knackered, unknown to me until the MOT - emissions actually went UP from the first test ), passed third time with a brand-new CAT.
