been 110 in 4th in my dads old 1.8 16V, was a R reg i think, long gone now as this was 3 years ago!

my m8s got a pic of his reading 140mph but he's runnin on 17's so its prob reading out

VX website says 127 mph for the 1.8 16v Vectra.
126mph for the 1.8 16v Corsa and
126mph for the 1.8 16v Astra.

The answer would be no then.

I doubt it my dads got a omega elite 3.0 v6 and the fastest he has been is just under 130

fastest i been in a 2.0 veccy was 130mph down m4 but that was pushing it

i had a 1.8 vectra before i had this one and it was on 17's and i cant for life of me remember wot i had out of it but to be honest never really tried

i have pushed my V6 though and i got 145 out of it when there was just me and a type r on a stretch of the m6. stil had 1k revs to go so reckon i could of pushed to 150......but i doubt i will ever go that fast again

dont underestimate those 1.8 16v though they arnt shy buggers

yesh but they dont go 140. Most i had out of my old SRi V6 was an indicated 147 and that was slight decline on motorway as well.

140mph my arse

Small Corsa, 160bhp, 135-140mph tops
Big heavy veccy, 136bhp,, 140mph, nahh, please work out the physics

130mph with a few mods maybe, but no way 140mph.

i got a pic in my vvoc gallery of me doin 146 and that was on standard wheels still but i reckon was readin ou approx 10 %

top speed of the 2litre veccy is 130 so i doubt a 1.8 will do 140, unless his k&n has given him an extra 50bhp

do they bollocks!! Mine doesnt anyway and mine isnt standard.
If ya lucky you might get 135 with a shorter SRi gearbox.
