Not a chance. The 1.2 engine is gutless below 3000rpm.

What extra power would he gain. He'll need about 20bhp.

Is Paul_Js car not a Corsa B. Surely the engine mods wouldn't fit a Corsa C. I may be interested in getting a bit more power out of my 1.4 is thats the case.

Yeah, that'll set you back a nice grand to fit the C .
What people dont realise is that the engines in the C's and B's are different.
X14/x12 in the B's
Z14/Z12 in the C's

The quoted 65 and 75 for b and C is understated and is more like 70 and 80, looking at rolling road estimations as average.
I got fuck all power from a full cat back system, all you get is aesthetics and noise, mainly if you keep the cat which sits up near the engine.
This was after fitting an inlet, drilled airbox, k&n panel filter and some other stuff.
As for the engine being gutless under 3000 rpm and this only mattering in first, if you rev it up and fire it off the clutch anf handbrake, like the rally guys do, then this ain't a problem either.
I use to thrash guys in way faster cars in a Nova SR, simply by being able to fire the car off the line, most fuckers have no clue about getting a car going from start, hence 0-60 figures are for joe public pretty pointless.

Precisley, I'v done exactly the same simply coz I know my car has its max torque at 4000rpm.
Let the clutch out and at this level and if you avoud wheelspin, ur sorted
