Mainly for those that were interested:

Going for the following from Courtenay:

Remap
Injector clean
Airbox and induction rework
Performance high flow filter
Reworked high flow throttle body and inlet centre section
High flow inlet manifold divider
4 bar fuel pressure regulator

Should see at least 30bhp from that which will take it up to 225BHP, Torque will probably be about 210-15 lb/ft.

Lightened flywheel (9 kgs reduction)

Stock flywheel is 15kg, should see about a half second of 0-60 with the lightened one.

Quaife LSD, AGain on this car courtenay reckon about a half second of 0-60.

Hopefully will be looking at high 6`s 0-60, will be hoping for high 14`s 1/4 mile. Will have to get it on the strip

Well i was originally looking at newer facelift veccy GSi`s which were like 7-10k. Managed to find a pre facelift with only 56k on for a hell of a lot less so figured get the cheaper/older car and rest on mods.

marc have a look under the tuning section then the V6 page for details: http://www.courtenaysport.co.uk/default.htm

They have done work on 2 of my corsas before and too a very high standard, also been to them for servicing and had a head rebuild, again excellent standard of work and very knowledgable/helpfull staff. John shield took me round the workshop and showed me round a C16XE lump illustrating the silly air induction route and showed me the manztel powerbox when they first got me in. So I think they are well worth what they charge, what are the alternatives regal?

As standard these engines have a serious breathing problem vibs, you can free up worthwhile amounts of power just by sorting the breathing.

We have a new throttle body conversion for the 2.5 Vectra. The throttle body is supplied on an exchange basis.
The conversion involves the standard throttle body being stripped down. The housing is machined out to accommodate a larger throttle butterfly which is attached to a new low profile spindle, providing a 21.5% increase in throttle area at full throttle. This gives an increase of 6-8 BHP

Suitable for 2.5 V6 24v (C25XE) 170ps engines as used in Calibra and Cavalier, the Courtenay-Mantzel Powerbox inlet manifold produces an 8 bhp power gain

thats erm about 16bhp, where does the rest come from? Sorting out the air box definately frees a few bhp up, if you looked at a standard one you would know why so maybe a few bhp there, I dont know how good an FSE is on these engines, but they respond quite well to a decent remap so maybe a few bhp there as well. See its not that far off 30, and i forgot to mention the Scorpian GPA full system im getting too.

dont forget that > Mantzel Powerbox inlet manifold

I dont care if it doesnt make their claimed power anyway as its going to improve the way the car drives no end, standard V6 vauxhalls are very lazy and laid back, sorting the breathign will pep it up a bit and give it some punch, the LSD and Lighter flywheel will make a huge difference also. Netherless i will get a before and after RR done.

£1500 fitted is crap.

UNICHIP £450
Throttle body £250

you'd probably see around 15hp with that

I would like to comment that you id not make 13bhp as your car was not on the rollers without the aformentioned modifications

As mentioned several thousand times i don't care what u think so

SetH should be well pokier and more responsive with those mods and i've read a few articles on people who have done the same sort of mods to the c25xe and they seemed pleased with it
