Just out of interest, has anyone on here managed to build a race ready group 'N' or 'A' rally car? If so whats the tech spec which ya have to have?

think you'll have to have kevlar in the pannels i read somehwere. dont think adams is any group mate, just a laugh and the occasional race!

Adam is building his car up just now, but its not to a certain spec at the minute.
I have a few friends who have Corsa and Nova rally cars, both GroupN, GroupA and rallycross cars. I used to have a Corsa Road Rally car and now have a Nova GroupN Tarmac rally car. Its being built up to GroupA slowly inbetween Championship events which Im competing this year.
You dont need Kevlar in the panels, they can be either standard, fibreglass or carbon fibre.

TBH I don't think you can make a corsa to Grp A or N spec as the car was never homologated

Yup, I was there as a guest of BAT Motorsport, thanks to Ian! Superb BBQ in their pits!
Was working the last two years it's been on, though, so have missed it......hoping to go this year!

You can add parts that are grp A or grp N spec but the car as a whole can't be classed as Grp A/N

I am pretty sure they were homogated, I think Mark Higgins rallied one for Vauxhall/ Opel in his earlier days that was homogated. I will head off and do some hunting to try and verify that though.
