Nothing like an Evo, Scoob etc as the running costs have to be reasonable in terms of MPG, servicing costs/intervals etc.
Ideally something bigger than a hatch!

how about a vw bora 150bhp TDI, that'll set you back about £17000 for a 6 month old one from vw, and they are pretty quick, and well equipped
