Sick of it I really am, been taxed £405 on a £1292 bonus, can someone please explain to me why the fcuk I have to pay so much?
Althogether I have paid £655 tax and NI this month, it makes me fcuking sick.

i think tax on bonus stinks
my mum gets taxed on her widows pension and that stinks kus my dad already paid tax on it when he feckin earnt it

i can only presume you are in the higher 40% tax bracket

The goverment are more or less saying, well done you've done well this year I think we should take some more off of you to pay for a nice comfy warm home for some lovely Kosovans

1 Job, and there is no way in hell that I earn over £28,000 a year.
Who should I query this with? My HR department or Inland Revenue? I swear they owe me loads of money, I've been getting a simular bonus like this every year for the past 5 years and always pay stupid amounts of tax on it.

do u know they get free mobiles to keep in touch with their family plus free top up cards weekly plus a grant to buy a car kus they are too scared to get public transport

yeah try speaking to HR....i was on emergency tax for months and months when i first starting working here and after i told them they still took ages to sort it!!

i dont hate the individuals themselves...they are simply seeking a better life and who can blame them, i hate the fcuking government for letting them in and giving them everything under the sun!! The aussies have the right idea!! Rant over

Sounds well over the top that mate have a word with your local Inland Revenue office they'll sort it for you, similar thing happened to me because I was driving a company car.

thing is the tax people are never wrong, and if they are they work it out and give you a rebate at the end of the tax year

If you arent getting taxed and you work full time then im sure you should be being taxed! unless your under an age (not sure what it is) or your still in full time education! i had this problem so had to ring them up!

p.s one major point. if they are illegal the goverment don;t know they are here so how do they get any accomodation or help

i was quite happy last month though, work finally sorted out my propper tax code so i got a load of tax back! £500 quid tax free.... that was a good night on the town that week....

this is not strictly true as i am in full time education but still pay the same % of tax as everyone else (who earns up to £28K)
