hello,

yesterday i got my brake upgrades completed, i know its nothing new but thought id share what ive done with you guys and girls

rear disk hubs off an astra gte modded to fit on my corsa beam,

(easy peasy to fit for those who are interested, some welding etc. but if you know a man who can then it shouldnt cost much atall)

front v6 setup running fiat disks £40 for calipers £60 for disks (284mm 4 stud) and £25 for pads, not bad huh? considering most kits are 200+

here are some pics

what do you think? sorry about the crappy rear disk picture, ill try n get a better one today, pics are from my gx20, not bad quality for a phone.

Mark

disc hubs and the spacer/mounting plates that are welded onto the gte beam,

my corsa beam had to have the mounting plate removed and the new one fitted but the mounting surface on the beam needed widening by about 3cm at the top to accomodate the different screw pattern of the gte mounting plate,

we welded the new plates on redrilled the holes and welded over the old ones.

the brake line fits fine

follow lees advice for the handbrake, i havnt actually got round to sorting mine out yet, the cars going nowhere so it dosnt matter!

Somebody doesn't need to at all. You brakes would look like that if they hand't been on the calipers for 2 months

Didn't look like that after i got on the road
