C20XE, not bad performance and most have leather.

Can pick them up for cheap, think they do 0-60 in about 8.1 seconds.

I think the redtops are 0-60 in 7.4, but you've only got to put a slight bend in the road and you cause a Calibra a big problem.
I know this is a Corsa site and lots of poeple here like vauxhall but calibras are crap, if you want a nice coupe, don't look at a vauxhall.

This will just be a big comfy car for driving my mates about and the dash down the Mway every day to work.

I plan to have another car for corners, speed etc

Totally disagree with this statment. We had an SE2 in yellow with standard 16"s and it stuck to the road like glue. Was a lovly ride.

7.4 is the 0-60 of the Astra GTE, calibra is bigger so add some weight, but it will still hit 60 in under 8 seconds easily!! 137mph top end (better than the astra due to the shape). mpg, well, should be aroudn 30mpg at least, but if its anything like mine, its morelike 10mpg

Go for an astra GTE then. Same engine, good ride as standard.
