Have seen a star silver Astra GSi Turbo come up for sale, has half leather, 18,000 miles and is on a 52 plate. Which would you prefer personally this, or my Astra Coupé Turbo. Europa blue, full cream leather interior, 19,000 miles?

The Gsi is up for £12,795 and I'd probably get about £10,500 for my coupe. Am thinking about it but I'd really miss my cream leather and the overall shape of the coupe. But I do really love those Gsi's.

Don't choose a car based on what colour seats it has and don't change a car for one of the same age with the same miles

Leather isnt sporty in my opinion, more luxury. Cloth buckets feel more sporty to me.

Silver is my fave colour on the Astra Gsi. All of them seem to be arden blue.

Yes, but silver is much easier to clean.
I would prefer an Astra GSi over a Coupe Turbo anyday.

I've made my mind up. I'm gonna stick with the coupé.
Had a blat last night with a standard Gsi Turbo, the bloke had a smile on his face like, I'm lighter than you watch this. Green lights, bye bye. I admit most of it is due to driver skill. These Astra Turbos are a bastard to get off the line but I did this well, his tyres were screeching and I left him at quite a pace. Furthur down the road he came up a couple of inches from my bumper so I dropped to 2nd to see what my extra 30 or so bhp could do and I was suprised to see my car pulling away at quite a pace, the look on his face at the next lights was a true kodak moment. He turned left with his head down.

I do like the Gsi but for all the hassle of changing it's not going to be worth it. Plus I like my car even more after eating up the car I was thinking of getting.

let me get this right, you are keeping the coupe because you beat the Gsi? Yet you have got mods I take it because of the 30BHP differance??? Not exactly a fair comparisson is it? Also he may have had the TC off so had more wheel spin.....it could be he is a crap driver??
The coupe is the same engine with the same bhp as a hatch gsi...nothing in it at all....some would argue that the coupe handles better, yet it has the same chasis. The gsi however is better equipped than a coupe.
It comes down to one thing do you prefer the look of the coupe or the Gsi...nothing else and especially not some shit "race" when you "blew away" another astra driver.
Any mods you have dione to a coupe can be done to the hatch.

My point on the 'race' was that you would expect the Gsi to beat a coupé, due to it looking more sporty and being lighter. The driver of the Gsi definately thought it would win. I liked the fact that I was the underdog and won.
