Please remember that they did make a K-reg Corsa GSi, so M-plate is very late.

Its easy to do mate, I've got to do exactly the same thing to my engine.

Ask Lee Mitchell what you need as I'm still not 100% sure what belt and pulley you need to make it run.

I think ipswichcorsa might know.

i have a pretty good idea
take of p/s pump
take of non ribbed pulley
put ribbed pulley on <>off non p/s gsi
put non p/s ribbed belt on for gsi

and that should be it

My PAS is now sitting in the bin and I'm happy

Only hassle of removing is that (on Sport at least), the PAS pulley housing forms part of the engine mount, so you also need a driver's side front engine mount to mate the 1.6 engine to the chassis

Nah - cost me about £17 or thereabouts plus VAT. You may as well ditch the PAS pump completely - it weighs a ton (well about 5kgs ). Lose some weight from under the bonnet/better handling

£17 thats ok
5kgs saved is good
now the pulley its not ribbed so i gather i get a ribbed pulley and a shorter belt ?

and now possibly a engine mount

880mm belt should pretty much do the trick. My PAS pulley was multi-ribbed in the first place. You'll just be driving your alternator from the crank pulley, so see what's needed to connect the two pulleys

i have crank-ribbed,alt-ribbed,p/s-ribbed,and i think its the tensioner for it and that isnt ribbed
so if i got a ribbed tensioner and 880mm ribed belt thats it sorted

Adam, I think because you don't have PAS already, you can just use your original mounts as your car has the non PAS mount.

If that makes sense.

No, all the Corsa mounts are the same. Only different ones are the diesel ones.
