ive just come back from Nath's
He's drilled my airbox for me.
i think it sounds louder- but i say think bcoz i actually turned my radio down and listened out for it... i dont usally pay attention to how my car sounds- so im not yet sure.
coz i havent taken it for a proper spin yet- just home from naths- he lives 2secs away.

so- who has done this and do you think it has any effect

comments please

(and i only have a standard filter in at the mo)

cheers guys

some people prefer it, others dont !

i think its a cheap way of getting out of buying a decent airfilter, take the whole lot off, will sound great then

i am just about to get rid of my K&N cone and put airbox back in actually....

gonna get a panel filter and not drill air box, but add another cold air feed to it.....

i'm sure doing that or drilling it, is better than shoving a cone on the end

cut the side of the airbox off closest to the wing and remove the warm air feed from the box to zorst manifold cover, add a few cold air feeds and invest in a panel filter.

i've done it on 1.4 sri 8v the other week!

i have used up soooo much petrol this week as i've been drivng pretty hard to get the lovely sound from the sir box

i think its would make ur car any faster but it did make mine alot bloody smoother to drive!
when u take ur foot off the pedal from say 5k revs....its comes down soonly gentey and smoothly...

brilliant FREE mod!
