Should be on the rollers within a couple of weeks. had 173 brake last time on fast road cams. Now got very big race cams and solid lifters

Very impressive. post this on Migweb, they'll like this. Whats the current engine spec, highest i've sen using a 1.4 8v bottem end and the 16v top end was in a nova running 170+bhp. That was road legal though.

Keith - how do you find that electric pump works in practice? Did you leave the old impeller in place or remove it. And who supplied your alu freewheel?

i remember when a m8 of mine introduced me to some "ex-F1 mechanic" who was gonna build me a 200bhp 1400cc lump for the total of £350 inc engine 
i brought the engine for £50, then never gave him anymore money cos it seemed dodgy to me....
m8 is in jail now and never did see that engine

All build myself
Electric pump is new, so not sure how it will work yet. Back of water pump was all machined, and a plate welded over to make it water tight again.
