Right, just got told off on the GTI forum for advertising

Basically I ws informing people that the company I work for sell sheet plastics and Ive sold a sh1t load to people who compete in rallys, sunday series, clubman etc

They were using acrylics like Perspex or Repsol for the windows but we cut to size polycarbonate or PETG (polyetheline toughened glass) which is much lighter and virtually indestructable and wont shatter like brittle Acrylics.

Its a Nationwide comapny so you will have a branch near to you wherever you are.

I aint gonna post company details incase it gets deleted for the same reason so if you are interested u2u me and Ill come back to ya with a price on Monday. I would need precise measurements in milimeters.

How much would a full set be for a corsa?? and also are they still able to be fitted with the window heaters?? (wire thingies??)

Might be interested in the next 6-8+ months

Nope, this would not be for everyday road going use. For track cars mainly. Email me some details if you are interested and Ill get back to ya with a price. We have over 1200 products with different codes and prices so I wouldnt know offhand.

Phill just look in my garage @ my corsa I don't think it be road-going would you?

emails not workin proper atm soooo

all 4 side windows for Corsa B (93-96 model) Also front & rear windows (also need to know if they can be fitted with electric heater systems)

I though lexan (sp) was the best thing to use? Would be interested in this tho if the price was right

Correct Lexan is the Brand of polycarbonate made my Lucite the market leader.

If this is any help, I got a set of polycarbonate windows for mine. All windows except windscreen and it cost £160 from Airedale components

PETG is good aswell, more comformable. I sold 6mm Lexan to a coachworks who were using it on the inside of the glass of Fire Appliances (for some reason small minded pikeys over here call the fire brigade then throw throw bricks at them)

Anyway the polycarb was wanting to return to straight and not curved. Prob coz they went too thick. 3000 microns would have done.

So they came back to me for PETG this week.

We have a tungston tipped wall saw that can only do straight edge panels, you can use a good jigsaw and a window from a scrappies or your own as a template.

Remember folks - measure twice cut once as they say!!

Polycarb can be curved ok. Just cant be cold bent through 90 degrees etc. The only reason the coachworks place had probs coz it wasnt mounted into the frame like th glass of a car is and they went too thixk!

I mean I was in the wearhose with a 3mm sample and a hammer and there's no way you can break this stuff unless you go to the edges where the srtess in the material is located and even at that its damn hard.

So if you put some of this poly carb in place of your front windows, would you still be able to open the window as ussual, or is this the reason its not for everyday use as the window has to stay closed, otherwise it'll pop out?

its not for everyday use as it is near impossible to break.

standard windows need to be able to be smashed incase of an emergency so to save your love

these feka's would just sit there laughing as you burn away!
