top speed is 121mph
0-60 is around 8.5 seconds
max power is 109bhp at 6750rpm
max torque is 106lb/ft at 4500rpm

lol no thats about right. My old corsa could do it in 8.7, and it was a standard X16XE. Some people say the GSi is even quicker than 8.5 secs, but i would take that with a pinch of salt

did u get that properly timed??
most figs for gsi say 9-9.5 secs for redtop/ecotec

timed using Garmin GPS on a nice long straight road in the new forest. i did 5 runs and the average worked out to 8.7. Got an 8.6 and 8.9 on either sides of the scale. Most figs for X16XE are inaccurate. The only true way of finding out true figures is from my haynes manual. BTW, a redtop is a C20XE, not a 1.6

yeah i used to love mine. Plenty of mid-range, and a nice feel during gear changes. Shame it didnt handle all that good

yeah you should see 0-60 in around the 7's and definately a faster top end speed. Whats torque like?

i hate writing this list it takes ages,
Re-bore with new pistons to about 1620CC, stage 2 ported and polished head, mantzel power box, mantzel superchip, lexmaul stainless manifold, 7500rev limit, ARP rod bolts, Pipercross vipe induction kit, magnecore leads, spitfire plugs, full magnex cat back system, SBD metal idler pulleys, Lightned and balanced crank with .25 regrind and oversized main bearings, few KG's taken off fly wheel, Full re-built top to tail, new valve springs, lifters etc, 6 stage valve seats cut, hhhh think thats if if there is any more i will add it
