Rebuilding Engine's aren't that hard, just make sure you label every thing you take off, ie bolt's from say cam's put in a bag with cam bolt's marked on it! and remember how thing's go back,
this is only a 2.0 4 cylinder will be piss easy to pull apart and put back together, just take your time!

Aye, i already know that, but shall we say, i have limited tools.
and when u can't afford to replace the aprts if you break them, especially when your already forking out for new bits, it plays on the mind

no offence but surely he would need a little more expertise to set up TB's?
Like a rolling road and someone to set up the engine management?
And if hes just fitting cams then pics of it all finished wont be v interesting

Im a carb man, not as rich as you couldn't warrent spending £2k on TB when 2nd hand carbs can give 175+bhp for £300 But no, tis not that

wrong mate
most TB sets come with after market engine managament e.g u can get jvernsy TB's with an Omecx ECU (from SBBD?) and all u have to do is install the TB's and set it up using a pre instanlled map using your own laptop. and TB's dont need setting up as much as carbs

was under the impression that pre-set maps were not the way to go, and that an hour on a rolling road with a lap-top mapping to your car would be much more beneficial

preset maps allow you to drive to the RR to get it mapped properly
