right, thinkin im too low now! i fitted my spax rsx kit on sunday but im not too sure how low it is! but anyway, the ride is startin to piss me off! and jus now on my way home, it became dangerous! was going down the road, had to brake hard but hit a bump at the same time, then the wheels locked up, but the car was bouncing at the front! looked at the tyre marks and u can see where i was bouncing! heres some pics:






as i say the ride is kinda harsh and is really noticable! im running 14" softstars so thats probably summin to do with it!! the only reason i have the front so low is that it matches the back, otherwise itl b uneven

what are other peoples coilovers like? how u got em set up?

have u had them set up properly i had problems when first fitting mine til i got it 4 wheel aligned

no there not set up properly but i dnt really know where to go! i defo need the camber checked aswel tho

u will need a kit to adjust the camber though if my memory serves me correct but i think they may be your problem

also how far have u wound down on them to start with??? i only wound a little way and ran it a couple month til it settles kus it dropped some more after that

yeh id get a garage to check the alignment and the camber. but where could i take it to check the coilovers? the shocks were 2nd hand so they weren brand new, but i defo noticed the car had dropped on monday (day after fitting).

they will probably have the knowledge at a garage to check ure suspension too i should imagine my local garage did

i need mine checkin though as they only been on 6 months ish and they are banging quite bad

i had mine down that low on avo coilovers, iv raised it now so its only 50mm down so much better!

does anyone know the measurement from the centre of the wheel to the arch on a standard corsa? i wana know how much mine is actually lowered!

im defo gona raise it, its doin me head in!

get your brake load compensator ajusted too cos u will lock up under heavy braking and the car will be unpredictable trust me i know

mate that is LOW on the coil

mine is 50mm higher then yours on the spring platform and sits 65-75mm lower then usual

mine are about same as ures marv maybe a little less on the front but they are banging and used to be fine think il get em looked at

i found my spax coilovers really bad with them det on hard so put them almost on softest setting and it didnt catch any more, maybe less and much nicer ride!

think the camber is slightly out on my kit but i need camber bolts demon tweeks 2 sort that out! never got round 2 it yet tho

when ur car is so low mate the vacuum created (air between ur car and ground) can cause handling to be poor esp when breaking, thats why when ur looking at cars that race being to low can b dangerous becasue if the car is to low the vacuum takes control and no matter what u do brake handbrake turn wheels car will just do what it wants to do.

to be safe id raise it sum more
