12'' is a compromise between deep bass and punchy bass.

10" aint loud enough mate, if u got two subs the same make but different one 10 & one 12 u would hear the difference

Ive got two 10"s but i listen to alot of drum and bass and imo 10's are best for d&b

Paul if ur gonna get the old metallica on the go get 12's with the LPF set to about 75-80hz and if possible use a subsonic filter to wipe out anything below 30hz, thats how i had mine set up and it were pukka

Ok so 12" 1 x 230w RMS (460w max)
I think thats output on my amp for sub ! It says
4 channel 1000w max,with induction cooling fan.Variable 12db crossover ,18db bass boost,wired remote controll. 40oms 4 x 45w RMS (300m max)+ 1 x 160w RMS (320w max) Bridged 2 x 140w RMS (560w max) 2oms 4 x 60w RMS (480w max)+ 1 x 230w RMS (460w max)
So whats sort sub should I look for, what power to sound best with amp ??
