Harsh mate, they couldn't help how they are, and to be honest that bloke that starred in that drama has gone out of his way to prove that he can do anything any abled bodied person can do and then some. I bet he's not hard an easy life, I'm sure none of the philodomide (the drug that was taken my the mum's that were trying to prevent morning sickness) children have thanks to people like you mate - taking the piss.
That guys done quite a lot recently, he's an actor / comedian by trade, but he used to be in a band as he wanted to prove to everyone he could drum just as well as anyone else, even with his disability. He proves you can adapt and work around the situation, many people that are disabled wouldn't think they could even become actors, but he has once again proven that it shouldn't matter whether you have a disability or not, you should be able to do the same things as anyone else.
And finally, and imo the thing that made me truely respect the bloke, was there was a documentary on channel 4 a while ago, where this guy (the guy that was in that bbc 2 drama) actually volunteered himself to fight in the 'Cage Warrior' fighting series that happens around the UK.
Cage warrior is a anything goes fight, much like Ultimate Fighting Champion in the Us, it's bare knuckle, no padding / protection, 2 fighters in a cage and they can do whatever they like to each other.
The problem for this guy is he couldn't really punch and he couldn't really grapple, but he was a brilliant kick boxer and was light on his feet - he went into the ring even though he knew he was disadvantaged and got knocked about a bit, but gave as good as he got
Good on the bloke I say

Not amused by this thread at all
My cousin was born with no hand on his left arm, but he seems to be dealing with it fine (bout 6 yrs old now), it's nothing as bad as the philadmide people, but its not going to be easy either - unable to do certain things others can do, and being picked on or having the piss ripped coz your different. I feel sorry for him, knowing what kids will be like at primary / secondary school.
It's harsh, and where I work (at legoland windsor) we have something called Exit passes, which can be given to disabled guests so they don't have to queue in the normal queue lines as usually its hard for them to do so and if they're in a wheel chair, easier for them to gain access via the exit.
But what you see makes you feel really sorry for these guys and their parents. Kids that are in wheel chairs, unable to walk or struggle to speak or make sense of things - and you think 'poor kid, what sort of life are you going to have?'
The other day I had a family, (dad, mum, 1 kid normal and 1 kid in a wheel chair completely disabled (almost looked paralysed) and unable to really speak properly. They came up the exit and I let them on the jungle coaster, they had to actually carry this guy into his seat as he couldn't get there on his own, and when he was in there he didn't even really look like he was aware of who he was or where he was...
Just makes you feel a bit sorry and sad for some people after a while, then people like P4UL make posts like this and it makes me
